football"Hi guys, I just wanted to say a big thank you for setting up the whole football thing - It's a big undertaking. Our son really enjoys it! - Lisa"             football             "Hi, I just wanted to say, that I am really happy with the club. My son is getting so much enjoyment out of it. I think you all do a great job with the kids. Well done! Kind Regards - Helen"            football             " Just to endorse the consensus that everyone we have spoken to is enjoying the footballing and appreciative of the time that the volunteers are committing at the moment. Best - Chris"           football            "Has the club thought about achieving Charter Standard? With all teams we would need to see a Level 1 coach or above, all coaches CRB checked with Emergency Aid and Safeguarding in place. I am sure you have most of this in place already... and by the way, I like the club website. - Steven (Football Development Officer, Surrey County FA)"           football           “Well done @CV_JFC. Looks like u r doing a fantastic job. Gd luck 4 ur first fixture next weekend. Dan S, CVFC Club Captain”

At the halfway stage of the junior club’s first season, we thought it would be a good time to reflect on the progress we have made so far.

In May, we elected our first committee consisting of Laura P (welfare officer), Chris P (treasurer), Ainsley B (secretary), Paul S (chairman) and general committee members including Wendie H, Liz T, Graham D and Scott B, Natalie B & Dave B. Although some of the roles have jiggled about a bit, we are all still very much part of CVJFC and enjoying it.

June 2nd 2013 Our inaugural barbecue took place with support not only from our future players’ families, but from the wider area too. 2014’s Summer BBQ is already in planning. Many thanks to Natalie & Dave B who helped massively in putting this on.

June 10th and 11th Our first official training session for our current under 6’s, under 7s and under 8s with massive thanks to coaches; Ian, and Ainsley B In July we welcomed local coach Ben P who helped with coaching throughout the summer.

In August we welcomed our first parent-manager-coach team consisting of Lewis G and Danny H, who have been fantastically dedicated to the cause, by doing courses and lots of planning work outside of their matchday commitment. We now are looking for some more parent-manager-coach teams with similar commitment and energy levels for our new age groups that will begin playing matches in 2014.

In October our under 7s played their first game in the Crawley friendly league and scored their first goals, whilst we also welcomed our official club referee on to team: Thankyou Dean D

In November after some weeks of learning the game, the under 7s picked up their first victory – a resounding 5-0 win.
